Teaching Philosophy

Sally is passionate about helping people overcome obstacles in their yoga journey and understanding the medical benefits of the practice. With her background in journalism, she excels at communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences. Her goal is to inspire students to find their own pool of calm within their yoga practice.

As a person who studied modern dance for many years, I bring an attitude of curiosity to my practice and hope you will also. My goal is for my students to find both sustainable physical practices and important mental practices that nourish them. All of this is a journey further into your own body and mind.

On some level, we all use the word “yoga” to describe something that is unique to each of us.

“Enlightenment is always there. Small enlightenment will bring great enlightenment. If you breathe in and are aware that you are alive – that you can touch the miracle of being alive – then that is a kind of enlightenment.”

    – Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist monk
